Zhao Zhongxiang was born on January 16, 1942, and he passed away on his 78th birthday, January 16, 2020. He joined CCTV in 1959.

Zhao Zhongxiang was born in Ningjin County, Hebei province in China. He became a well-known face on Chinese television. He was especially famous for hosting the CCTV New Year's Gala. This is a huge TV show watched by many people in China every year.
