Zoltan Sabo (born May 26, 1972 – died December 15, 2020) was a professional football player from Serbia. He was known for playing as a defender, which means he helped protect his team's goal. Zoltan also had Hungarian citizenship.
He played for several football clubs, including Hajduk Kula, Vojvodina, and Partizan. After his playing career, Zoltan Sabo became a football manager. He started managing his hometown club, Radnički Sombor, in October 2009.
Zoltan Sabo passed away on December 15, 2020, in Sremska Kamenica, Serbia, when he was 48 years old.

Playing Career: Zoltan Sabo's Journey as a Defender
Zoltan Sabo started his football journey in his home country. He played for several clubs in Yugoslavia and later in Serbia.
Early Years and Club Success
Sabo began his senior career at Hajduk Kula in 1991. He then moved to Vojvodina in 1992, where he played for four years. From 1996 to 2000, he was a key player for Partizan, one of Serbia's biggest clubs. With Partizan, he won the Yugoslav League three times: in 1996–97, 1998–99, and 1999–2000.
Playing Football Abroad
After his time in Serbia, Zoltan Sabo played for clubs in other countries. He played for Suwon Samsung Bluewings in South Korea from 2000 to 2002. He helped them win the Asian Club Championship twice, in 2000–01 and 2001–02. He also played for Avispa Fukuoka in Japan in 2002. Later, he played for Zalaegerszeg in Hungary and AEK Larnaca in Cyprus.
Returning to Serbia and Retirement
Sabo returned to Serbia to play for Mladost Apatin in 2004. He finished his playing career at Cement Beočin, where he played from 2005 to 2008.
Managerial Career: Leading Teams to Success
After retiring as a player, Zoltan Sabo became a football manager. He worked with many teams, often starting as an assistant coach.
First Steps as a Coach
Sabo started his coaching career as an assistant at Kecskemét in Hungary from 2007 to 2009. He then became the head coach of his former club, Radnički Sombor, in 2009. He also managed Hajduk Kula and had a short period as an assistant at Vojvodina.
Coaching in Different Leagues
Zoltan Sabo continued to gain experience as an assistant coach at Litex Lovech in Bulgaria and Donji Srem in Serbia. He later became the head coach for Proleter Novi Sad and Jagodina.
Success with TSC Bačka Topola
From 2017 to 2020, Sabo was the head coach of TSC Bačka Topola. Under his leadership, the team achieved great success. They finished in third place in the Serbian SuperLiga during the 2019–20 season. This amazing result meant that TSC qualified for the UEFA Europa League for the first time in their history.
