Ñengo Flow's Music Career
After some years, Edwin became widely known as Ñengo Flow. His first music project was a mixtape he made with his friends. A mixtape is like an album, but often made more casually.
Early Albums and Mixtapes
In 2005, he released his first official studio album called Flow Callejero. He continued to create mixtapes, including El Combo Que No Se Deja in 2007. Another mixtape, La Verdadera Calle, came out in 2010.
Ñengo Flow also appeared on many reggaeton compilation albums. These are albums that feature songs from different artists. Some of these included Los Anormales (2004) and Sangre Nueva (2005). He was also on DJ Joe – Abusando del Género (2006).
The Real G4 Life Series
In 2011, Ñengo Flow released his album Real G4 Life. He followed this with Real G4 Life 2 in 2012. Later that year, he released Real G4 Life 2.5.
Real G4 Life 2 was very popular. It reached number 75 on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart. The 2.5 edition did even better, reaching number 61 on the same chart.
In 2012, he also worked with other artists. He was featured on Ivy Queen's album Musa. He also sang uncredited vocals on her song "La Killer."
Awards and Recognition
Ñengo Flow's "Real G4 Life" concert was nominated for "Concert of the Year." This nomination was given by the Tu Música Urban Awards in 2019. This shows how much his live shows are appreciated.
