The Échez is a river in southwestern France. It flows through the Occitanie region. This river is a tributary of the Adour river. It means the Échez flows into the Adour. The Échez is located in the Hautes-Pyrénées area of France.

About the Échez River

The Échez river is about 64.1 km (40 mi) long. That's like driving for about 40 miles! The area of land that collects water for the Échez is called its drainage basin. This basin is about 411 km2 (159 sq mi) big.

The River's Journey

The Échez river starts at the bottom of the Pic de la Clique mountain. This mountain is near a small town called Germs-sur-l’Oussouet. This town is east of Lourdes.

From there, the river flows north. It passes by the western side of the city of Tarbes. It also flows through the valley of the Adour river. Finally, the Échez joins the Adour river in a town called Maubourget.
