Albert the Bear Founds Brandenburg

The End of Denmark's Civil War
On October 23, a big battle called the Battle of Grathe Heath took place in Denmark. This battle ended a long and difficult civil war in the country. King Sweyn III was killed during this battle. After his death, Valdemar I became the sole king of all Denmark. He then worked hard to rebuild and unite the country, bringing peace after many years of fighting.
