  • 617 – The Battle of Huoyi took place. Li Yuan defeated a large army, which helped him become Emperor Gaozu and start the Tang dynasty in China.
  • 1100 – Antipope Theodoric was chosen as a leader of the church, but he was not officially recognized.
  • 1198Philip of Swabia was crowned King of Germany.
  • 1253Pope Innocent IV made Stanislaus of Szczepanów a saint.
  • 1264 – The Statute of Kalisz was created in Poland. This law gave Jewish people safety and freedom, and it allowed their own courts to handle Jewish matters.
