Gabrial McNair (born September 8, 1973) is a talented musician and composer. He is best known for his work with the famous band No Doubt. Since 1993, he has played the trombone, keyboards, and sung backing vocals for them.
Gabrial has also toured with other big bands like Green Day, where he played trombone and tenor saxophone. In 2003, he helped start the rock band Oslo in California, playing the guitar for them.

Gabrial's Early Life and Studies
Gabrial McNair grew up in Glendora, California. He went to Glendora High School. There, he played the trombone in the marching band. He also played the snare drum in the Scottish Pipe Band.
After high school, Gabrial studied Jazz and Music Composition at Citrus College. He then continued his music studies at California Institute of the Arts. He learned from famous musicians like Charlie Haden and Joe LaBarbera.
Working with Other Artists
Outside of his work with No Doubt, Gabrial has created music with many other artists. He has worked in the studio with his bandmate and producer, Tony Kanal. Together, they have recorded music for artists like Gwen Stefani and Pepper.
Gabrial also composes music for TV shows and movies. In 2012, he wrote extra music and the main theme song for the animated TV series "Action Dad."
In 2014, he worked with Shirley Manson, the singer from the band Garbage. They created a song for the movie "Dark Hearts." That same year, Gabrial also helped write music for the children's animated movie "The Hero of Color City." He has also composed music for Cartoon Network Asia shows like "The Afterschool Adventures of Paddle Pop."
His Band: Oslo
Gabrial is a co-founder of the band Oslo. In this band, he plays the guitar. The band also includes Mattia Borrani on lead vocals and Kerry Wayne James on bass.
Oslo has toured with other bands, like Blue October in 2006. They released their second album, The Rise and Fall of Love and Hate, in 2007. Later, in 2017, Oslo released an EP (a shorter album) called "The Morning After."
In 2017, Oslo opened concerts for Dreamcar. Dreamcar is a band with members from No Doubt and the lead singer of AFI. Oslo played for them in San Francisco and West Hollywood.
Live Performances and Tours
Gabrial McNair has performed live with many famous musicians. In 2005, he toured with Gwen Stefani on her solo "Harajuku Lovers Tour." He joined her again for "The Sweet Escape Tour" in 2007. He still performs with Gwen Stefani in Las Vegas for her "Just a Girl" show.
In 2008, he joined Smashing Pumpkins for their 20th Anniversary Tour. He played trombone, sang backing vocals, and played percussion.
He also toured with Lenny Kravitz on his "Black and White America World Tour" in 2011 and 2012. He played trombone and percussion for Lenny Kravitz.
In 2013, Gabrial lent his voice to a song called "Desert Lullaby." This song was part of the video game soundtrack for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII.
Since 2016, Gabrial has been touring with the band Tegan and Sara. He plays keyboards for them. He joined their world tour for their album Love You To Death. He also performed with them for the 10th Anniversary tour of their album The Con.
Since 2017, Gabrial has toured with Sublime with Rome. He plays keyboards, trombone, and sings backing vocals for them. He also helped create their 2019 album Blessings.
