Gabrial McNair was born on September 8, 1973. He is a talented musician and composer. He is best known for his work with the band No Doubt. Since 1993, he has played the trombone, keyboards, and sung backing vocals for them.

Gabrial McNair's Early Life and Education
Gabrial McNair grew up in Glendora, California. He went to Glendora High School. There, he played the trombone in the marching band. He also played the snare drum in the Scottish Pipe Band.
After high school, he studied Jazz and Music Composition at Citrus College. Later, he continued his music studies at California Institute of the Arts. He learned from famous musicians like Charlie Haden and Joe LaBarbera.
Working with Other Artists
Outside of No Doubt, Gabrial McNair has worked with many other artists. He has written and recorded music with Tony Kanal, who is also in No Doubt. They worked on songs for artists like Gwen Stefani and Pepper.
Gabrial also composes music for TV shows and movies. He wrote extra music and the main theme for the 2012 animated TV series "Action Dad." He also helped compose music for "The Afterschool Adventures of Paddle Pop" and "Animal Control" on Cartoon Network Asia.
In 2014, Gabrial worked with Shirley Manson, the singer from Garbage. They created a song for the movie "Dark Hearts." He also added music to the children's animated movie "The Hero of Color City" in 2014.
Gabrial McNair and the Band Oslo
Gabrial McNair is a member of the band Oslo. In this band, he plays the guitar. The band also includes Mattia Borrani on lead vocals and Kerry Wayne James on bass.
Oslo toured with the band Blue October in 2006. They played shows in the US and Canada. Oslo released their second album, The Rise and Fall of Love and Hate, in 2007. They also released an EP called "The Morning After" in 2017.
In April 2017, Oslo opened for Dreamcar. Dreamcar is a band with members from No Doubt and the lead singer of AFI. They played at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco and the Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood.
Live Performances and Tours
Gabrial McNair has performed with many famous musicians. In late 2005, he toured with Gwen Stefani on her solo Harajuku Lovers Tour. He joined her again on "The Sweet Escape Tour" in 2007. He continues to perform with Gwen Stefani at her Las Vegas show, "Just a Girl."
In 2008, he joined Smashing Pumpkins for their 20th Anniversary Tour. He played the trombone, sang backing vocals, and played percussion. He also toured with Lenny Kravitz on his "Black and White America World Tour" in 2011 and 2012.
In 2013, Gabrial lent his voice to a song called "Desert Lullaby." This song was part of the soundtrack for the video game Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII.
Since 2016, he has toured with the band Tegan and Sara. He plays keyboards for them. He joined their 2016 world tour for their album Love You To Death. He also performed with them on the 10th Anniversary tour for their album The Con.
Since 2017, Gabrial has toured with Sublime with Rome. He plays keyboards, trombone, and sings backing vocals for them. He also helped create their 2019 album Blessings.
