- 307 – The Roman Emperor Constantine married Fausta. This happened after he divorced his first wife. Fausta was the daughter of another retired Roman emperor, Maximian.
- 1146 – A famous preacher named Bernard of Clairvaux gave a sermon. He encouraged people to join the Second Crusade. King Louis VII was there and decided to join.
