- 1074 – In the Battle of Mogyoród, Dukes Géza and Ladislaus defeated their cousin Solomon, King of Hungary. This made Solomon flee to the western border of Hungary.
- 1590 – During the French Wars of Religion, Henry of Navarre and the Huguenots won the Battle of Ivry against the Catholic League.
- 1647 – Several countries, including Bavaria, Cologne, France, and Sweden, signed the Truce of Ulm. This was an agreement during the Thirty Years' War.
- 1674 – In the Third Anglo-Dutch War, the Dutch East India Company ship Wapen van Rotterdam was captured during the Battle of Ronas Voe.
- 1780 – During the American Revolutionary War, Spanish forces captured Fort Charlotte in Mobile, Alabama. This was the last British outpost that could threaten New Orleans.
