Journey to the Final Match
Both Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers had to play many games to reach the final. They faced teams from different countries across Europe.
Tottenham Hotspur started their journey by beating Keflavík from Iceland. They then went on to defeat teams like Nantes from France, Rapid București from Romania, and UTA Arad, also from Romania. In the semi-finals, they had a tough match against A.C. Milan from Italy, but they won to secure their spot in the final.
Wolverhampton Wanderers also had a challenging path. They played against Académica from Portugal and ADO Den Haag from the Netherlands. They also beat Carl Zeiss Jena from East Germany. In the quarter-finals, they faced the famous Italian team Juventus and won. Their semi-final match was against Ferencváros from Hungary, which they also won to reach the final.
