2020 Turkish Grand Prix facts for kids
The 2020 Turkish Grand Prix was a super exciting car race for Formula One cars. It happened on November 15, 2020, at a track called Istanbul Park in Istanbul, Turkey. This race was the 14th event in the 2020 Formula One World Championship. It was also the eighth time the Turkish Grand Prix had been held, starting way back in 2005.
The race was won by Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton. He finished ahead of Sergio Pérez, who drove for Racing Point-Mercedes, and Sebastian Vettel from Ferrari. This win was extra special for Lewis Hamilton because it meant he won his seventh World Championship title! This amazing achievement tied the record set by the legendary driver Michael Schumacher. It also meant that a Mercedes driver had won the World Drivers' Championship for the seventh year in a row.
