Tyrone S. Walker (born May 21, 1990), known as A$AP TyY, is an American rapper from Harlem, New York City. He became part of the hip hop group ASAP Mob in 2014. From this group, he got his "A$AP" name.

He is well-known for his songs "O Well" and "Chamber Lock" (which featured A$AP Yams) from 2015. Another popular song is "Remain the Same" from 2016. His first collection of songs, called BEST KEPT SECRET, came out in 2016. It had 19 songs and was available for free. After the 2016 United States Presidential election, he released a song called "Trump." This song was aimed at the person who won the election.

Besides music, Tyrone Walker is also involved in fashion, art, and street culture. He loves dirt bikes and helped make the "Bike Life" culture popular in New York City. Using his fame as a musician and biker, he showed his first art exhibit in 2014. He also released two special pairs of ski-goggles.

A$AP TyY's Music Journey

Starting Out: 2012–2014

By early 2012, A$AP TyY was known as a biker in Harlem. He used this fame to release his first song in 2014. It was a team-up with Young Money Yawn called "Comme Des Fawk Down."

First Mixtape: Best Kept Secret (2015–2016)

Even though he was famous before rapping, A$AP TyY's music career really took off in 2015. In early 2015, he released "Chamber Lock." This song had an introduction from his friend, A$AP Yams, who was a founder of ASAP Mob. After "Chamber Lock," TyY released "O Well" on June 2, 2015. Then, "Remain the Same" came out in February 2016. All three of these songs were on his first mixtape, BEST KEPT SECRET, which was released on April 13, 2016.

Touring Europe: 2016–2017

After his first mixtape, A$AP TyY released three more songs. These were "Bust It Open" on September 21, "Trump" on November 7, and "Like Me" with BewhY on December 28. In early 2017, because his music was doing well, TyY went on his first tour. It was a 5-day tour across three countries: Paris, Amsterdam, and London.

Working with A$AP Mob: Cozy Tapes Vol. 2

On August 25, 2017, the group ASAP Mob released their second album, Cozy Tapes Vol. 2: Too Cozy. This album was put out by ASAP Worldwide, Polo Grounds Music, and RCA Records.

A$AP TyY was featured on the eighth song, called "Get the Bag." Other artists on this song included ASAP Rocky, ASAP Ferg, ASAP Ant, ASAP Nast, Playboi Carti, and Smooky Margielaa.

New Music: Troubles of the World

On April 19, 2018, A$AP TyY released his first album, Troubles of The World. This album featured songs with OG Maco, Lamont Sincere, A$AP Ant, and Macca Wiles.

Beyond Music: Other Projects

Fashion Designs

On December 16, 2016, A$AP TyY worked with a designer from Brooklyn named KidSuper. Together, they created a special pair of ski-goggles. These goggles had both the ASAP Mob and KidSuper logos on them. The idea for the goggles came from the "Bike Life" style, where riders often wear goggles while riding their ATVs in New York City.

In the summer of 2017, TyY launched several fashion collections with different brands. A big moment was during Paris Fashion Week, when he teamed up with Milan-based designer Guntas. Their clothing line was a main part of Guntas' Spring 2018 collection.

Bike Life Culture

A$AP TyY is known for helping to make "Bike Life" popular. This is a culture in Harlem where people love riding ATVs and dirt bikes on the streets of New York. The NYPD (New York City Police Department) does not approve, as these vehicles are not allowed on city streets. However, the group continues to ride today.
