Martrel Reeves (born June 26, 1990), known as Fat Trel, is an American rapper. He is currently signed to MGE The Label, which distributes his music through Asylum Records. He used to be signed with Rick Ross's label Maybach Music Group and Atlantic Records. He also worked with DTLA Records and Beryl Media. From 2009 to 2016, Fat Trel released new mixtapes every year.

Fat Trel's Music Journey

Early Career: 2011–2012

In 2011, Fat Trel released a song called "Respect With The Tec". It was produced by Lex Luger.

In 2012, Fat Trel released a mixtape called Nightmare on E Street. This mixtape featured other artists like Kirko Bangz, Red Café, Rick Ross, and Big K.R.I.T.. He also worked with Chief Keef on a song called "Russian Roulette". Later, Fat Trel joined a group called Louie V Mob with Master P and Alley Boy.

Louie V Mob and SDMG

As part of Louie V Mob, Master P, Fat Trel, and Alley Boy released a free mixtape called New World Order on February 12, 2013. This mixtape also included guest artists like Gucci Mane and E-40.

On August 19, 2013, Fat Trel released his own mixtape, SDMG. It featured artists such as Wale, Black Cobain, and Danny Brown. The music was produced by Young Chop, Cardo, Harry Fraud, and DJ Mustard.

Joining Rick Ross's Label: 2013–2014

On November 6, 2013, MMG announced that Fat Trel had joined their label. Fat Trel then released his first project with MMG, a mixtape called Gleesh, on April 1, 2014.

Gleesh had 15 songs and featured artists like Rick Ross, Wale, Rockie Fresh, and Stalley. Producers like All Star, Harry Fraud, and Young Chop worked on the music. Gleesh was the only project Fat Trel released while he was with MMG.

New Mixtapes: 2015–2017

Fat Trel released his mixtape Georgetown on June 9, 2015. This mixtape had 16 songs and included guest appearances from Wale, Rick Ross, and Fetty Wap. On December 25, 2015, which was Christmas Day, he released another mixtape called Muva Russia with Trap-A-Holics. This was his second project of 2015.

On June 28, 2016, Fat Trel released SDMG 2. This mixtape was a follow-up to his 2013 mixtape SDMG. On January 27, 2017, Trel worked with Yowda, another artist from MMG, to release a mixtape called Fat & Ugly.

On April 1, 2017, he released a song called "Rain" featuring American rapper Lil Durk. On July 27, 2017, he released another song called "Bachelor".

Music After a Break: 2017–2019

Trel released a song called "F**k 12" on October 21, 2017. The song was produced by Yung Lan, who often works with Trel. This was his first song after a period away from music. He released a music video for the song on November 3, 2017, on his YouTube page. He then announced that his next project, Finally Free, would be released soon.

On April 6, 2018, Fat Trel released a music video for his song "Low Life" on WorldStarHipHop and YouTube. The song was produced by King LeeBoy. It was later released on streaming platforms on April 19, 2018. On April 21, 2018, Trel released another song called "Large Amount". This was the only single for his upcoming mixtape Finally Free. The song was released on streaming platforms 12 days later.

Fat Trel released his Finally Free mixtape on July 13, 2018. This was his first mixtape after a break. One week later, the mixtape was re-released on streaming platforms. Two months later, Fat Trel released another project called On The Run on October 8, 2018. This was his second mixtape of 2018. On December 21, 2018, Trel released On The Run 2. This was a follow-up to his previous mixtape On The Run. It was his third and final mixtape release of 2018. On July 5, 2019, Trel released his next mixtape, called 1901.

Recent Releases and New Label: 2020–2022

On June 26, 2020, Fat Trel released his mixtape Big Homie. On September 8, 2020, he worked with Yowda again. They released a mixtape called Fat & Ugly 2, which was a follow-up to their 2017 collaboration. This mixtape was Fat Trel's last release under the Maybach Music Group label. On October 1, 2020, he released a song called "Keep Yo Problems", featuring Rashad Stark.

On October 15, 2021, after a period away, he quickly reconnected with Rick Ross. Rick Ross remains close with Fat Trel even though he is no longer part of the MMG label. He released a song called "Last Day In" on November 10, 2021. This was Trel's first song since his return to music.

On June 16, 2022, he released a music video for the song "LLB3 (Long Live Boosa)" on his YouTube channel. On June 17, 2022, he released the song on streaming platforms through Asylum Records. On June 21, 2022, Fat Trel announced that he had signed a deal with Asylum Records.

Fat Trel has a son and a daughter. He is a Christian.
