Jermaine Alfred Denny, born on September 19, 1976, is a rapper known as Red Café. He is from Guyana and the United States. In the late 1990s, he started a hip hop group called Da Franchise. The group signed with Violator and became popular locally. Red Café left the group in 2001 to focus on his solo career.
As a solo artist, he signed with several record labels. These included Trackmasters Entertainment, Hoo-Bangin' Records, and Motown. During the 2000s, he released many underground mixtapes and singles. These recordings were well-liked in his region. His first album, The Co-Op, came out in 2007. It was a project he made with DJ Envy. By 2007, he signed with Fabolous' Street Family Records. He became more famous for his 2010 song "I'm Ill," which featured Fabolous. Later, he signed with Akon's Konvict Muzik and Puff Daddy's Bad Boy Records. This was part of a deal with Interscope Records. In 2011, he released the song "Fly Together," featuring Rick Ross and Ryan Leslie. This song was meant to be on his album ShakeDown, but the album was not released. He later left these record labels.

Red Café is an East Coast hip hop rapper. He is strongly connected to Brooklyn, New York City. His nickname "Red" came from his father's nickname. Red Café was born in Guyana. He and his family moved to Brooklyn when he was six years old.
Music Career
After a period of time, Red Café joined the group Da Franchise. The group included Gravy and Q Da Kid. They signed with Violator Records. In 2000, the group released a song called "We Gotta Eat." Red Café decided to leave the group soon after to work on his own music.
He signed with several major record labels. These included Arista in 2003, Capitol (Hoo-Bangin' Records) in 2005, Universal (Konvict Muzik) in 2006, and Interscope (Konvict Muzik) in 2007. However, he did not release a main studio album with any of these labels. His song "All Night Long" was part of the 2005 soundtrack for the movie Coach Carter. Even though he is known in the underground rap scene, his music is not widely recognized around the world. He has been rapping since the late 1990s.
In 2007, he released an album with DJ Envy called The Co-Op. The artist Remy Ma was featured on this album. Red Café also created an original song, "Stick'm," for the video game Grand Theft Auto IV.

Red Café has released several mixtapes. On March 17, 2011, he released his mixtape Above the Cloudz. On January 13, 2012, he released Hell's Kitchen. On December 12, 2012, he released his mixtape American Psycho. This mixtape featured artists like French Montana, Chief Keef, Fabolous, Jeremih, T-Pain, Trey Songz, The Game, and 2 Chainz. It also had production from Young Chop and others.
On February 17, 2014, Café released American Psycho 2. On July 29, 2014, he released his song "Pretty Gang." This song featured his friend and frequent collaborator, Fabolous.
Acting Roles
In 2009, Red Café acted in the movie Notorious. This film was about the rapper Biggie Smalls. Red Café played a character named Primo, who was a freestyle battle rapper. His former group member, Gravy, also starred in the film. In 2011, he performed at a television event for the Urban Wrestling Federation. However, this show was never released.
