Jermaine Alfred Denny, born on September 19, 1976, is a Guyanese-American rapper known as Red Café. He started his music journey in the late 1990s. He was part of a hip hop group called Da Franchise.
The group signed with Violator and had some local success. Red Café later decided to pursue a solo career. He signed with several record labels over the years. These included Trackmasters Entertainment, Hoo-Bangin' Records, and Motown. During this time, he released many popular underground mixtapes and singles.
His first album, The Co-Op, came out in 2007. This was a team-up project with DJ Envy. He then joined Fabolous' Street Family Records. Red Café became more widely known for his 2010 song "I'm Ill," which featured Fabolous. Later, he signed with Akon's Konvict Muzik and Puff Daddy's Bad Boy Records. This led to his 2011 single, "Fly Together," featuring Rick Ross and Ryan Leslie.

Music Career
After facing challenges early in life, Red Café joined the group Da Franchise. The group included Gravy and Q Da Kid. They signed with Violator Records. In 2000, the group released a song called "We Gotta Eat." Red Café soon left the group to focus on his solo music.
He signed with several major record labels. These included Arista in 2003 and Capitol in 2005. He also signed with Universal in 2006 and Interscope in 2007. Even with these deals, he did not release a major studio album.
His song "All Night Long" was part of the 2005 soundtrack for the movie Coach Carter. Red Café has been making music since the late 1990s. He is well-known in the underground rap scene.
In 2007, he released the album The Co-Op with DJ Envy. The artist Remy Ma was also featured on this album. Red Café also created an original song called "Stick'm" for the video game Grand Theft Auto IV.
Mixtapes
Red Café has released many mixtapes. On March 17, 2011, he released Above the Cloudz. On January 13, 2012, his mixtape Hell's Kitchen came out. On December 12, 2012, he released American Psycho. This mixtape featured artists like French Montana, Chief Keef, Fabolous, Jeremih, T-Pain, Trey Songz, The Game, and 2 Chainz. It also had production from Young Chop and others.
On February 17, 2014, he released American Psycho 2. On July 29, 2014, Red Café released his song "Pretty Gang." This song featured his friend and frequent collaborator Fabolous. Red Café also contributed vocals to Rick Ross' album, Black Market, released in 2015.
Acting Roles
Red Café has also tried acting. In 2009, he played a character named Primo. Primo was a freestyle battle rapper in the movie Notorious. This film was about the famous rapper Biggie Smalls. In 2011, Red Café performed at a television event for the Urban Wrestling Federation.
