Aadesh Shrivastava (born September 4, 1964 – died September 5, 2015) was a talented music composer and singer from India. He created music for many Hindi films. Before becoming a music director, he worked as a drummer for other famous composers. Aadesh Shrivastava composed music for over 100 Hindi movies during his career. He passed away from cancer in Mumbai, just one day after his 51st birthday.

Aadesh Shrivastava's Music Career
Aadesh Shrivastava was born in Katni, India. He got his first big chance in music with the film Kanyadaan in 1993. A very famous singer, Lata Mangeshkar, sang his first popular song, "Oh Sajna Dilbar." This song was a hit on the radio.
Even though some of his early films didn't do well, he bounced back with Aao Pyaar Karen. The song "Haathon Mein Aa Gaya Jo Kal" from this movie became very popular. Another song, "Kya Ada Kya Jalwe Tere Paro," from the film Shastra, also brought him a lot of attention.
In 1995, Aadesh Shrivastava became a judge on the popular TV music show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. He sang many hit songs himself, including "Sona Sona," "Shava Shava," "Gustakhiyaan," and "Gur Nalon Ishq Mitha." He was praised for his work in films like Kunwara, Tarkieb, and Shikari around the year 2000. His success continued with the movie Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai in 2001.
He returned as a judge on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005 and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2009. In 2010, his song "Mora Piya" from the movie Raajneeti became a big hit.
Working with International Artists
Aadesh Shrivastava also worked with famous international musicians. He collaborated with artists like Akon, Julia Fordham, and Wyclef Jean. With Akon, he even helped start a talent search in India. This project used special technology to find new hit songs. He also worked with other global artists such as Dominic Miller, Shakira, and T-Pain.
Personal Life
Aadesh Shrivastava married Vijayta Pandit in 1990. Vijayta is an actress and the sister of famous music composers Jatin and Lalit Pandit. Aadesh and Vijayta had two sons named Anivesh and Avitesh.
In December 2010, Aadesh was diagnosed with a type of cancer called multiple myeloma. He received treatment for it.
His Passing
Sadly, Aadesh Shrivastava's cancer returned in 2015. He was admitted to the hospital for over a month. He passed away peacefully in a coma on September 5, 2015, at a hospital in Mumbai. This was just one day after his 51st birthday. He was cremated in Mumbai on the same day.
