Abdul Aziz bin Shamsuddin (Jawi: عبدالعزيز بن شمس الدين; 10 June 1938 – 16 October 2020) was an important Malaysian politician. He served as the Minister of Rural and Regional Development from 2004 to 2008.
Abdul Aziz Shamsuddin's Political Journey
Abdul Aziz Shamsuddin began his political career in 1981. He worked as a political secretary for Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, who was the Prime Minister at the time. This role meant he helped Dr. Mahathir with important political matters.
In 1999, he was appointed as a Senator by Dr. Mahathir Mohamad. A Senator is a member of the upper house of the Malaysian Parliament. Later, he became the Minister of Rural and Regional Development. He held this position from March 27, 2004, to March 18, 2008.

Later Life and Passing
