Acequia (pronounced ah-SEE-kwa) is a small city in Minidoka County, Idaho, United States. It's a part of the larger Burley, Idaho area. The name "Acequia" comes from a Spanish word meaning "canal," which is a waterway built for irrigation. This name likely reflects the importance of water and farming in the area. In 2020, about 131 people lived there.

Where is Acequia?
Acequia is located in the state of Idaho, in Minidoka County. It's about 5 miles (8.3 kilometers) northeast of another town called Rupert. You can find it along State Highway 24.
