Adam Offord Buxton (born 7 June 1969) is an English actor, comedian, and podcaster. He is well-known for being part of the comedy duo Adam and Joe with filmmaker Joe Cornish. They had a popular TV show called The Adam and Joe Show on Channel 4 from 1996 to 2001. They also had a radio show on BBC Radio 6 Music.
Since 2015, Adam Buxton has hosted The Adam Buxton Podcast. On his podcast, he talks to many interesting people. These include comedians, writers, musicians, and other famous personalities. He has also appeared on many TV game shows. These include Would I Lie To You? and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Adam has also directed music videos, working with the band Radiohead. He has written two books about his life, called Ramblebook (2020) and I Love You, Byeee (2025).

Adam Buxton's Early Life and School
Adam Buxton was born on 7 June 1969 in Shepherd's Bush, London. He spent some of his childhood living in Wales. His father, Nigel Buxton, was a writer who wrote about travel and wine. Adam's mother, Valerie, was from Chile. His parents met in Tokyo in the 1960s.
Adam went to Windlesham House School and then Westminster School in London. At Westminster, he became good friends with Joe Cornish, who would later be his comedy partner. He also met Louis Theroux, who became a famous documentarian. Adam studied at the University of Warwick for a short time. He then left to study sculpture at Cheltenham College of Art.

Working with Joe Cornish
Adam Buxton first appeared on TV in a show called Takeover TV on Channel 4. In 1995, he even hosted the show. Adam and Joe Cornish created their comedy duo, Adam and Joe. They made The Adam and Joe Show for Channel 4. This show was very popular and ran for four seasons from 1996 to 2001.
In 1999, they also released a book called The Adam and Joe Book. Adam and Joe also had radio shows on Xfm and later BBC Radio 6 Music. Their radio show won an award in 2012 for being a great entertainment program.
Adam Buxton's Solo Projects
Adam Buxton has worked on many projects by himself. He helped write and acted in a Channel 4 mini-series called The Last Chancers in 2004. In 2005, he performed a comedy show at the Edinburgh Festival called I, Pavel.

Adam Buxton's Personal Life
In 2001, Adam Buxton married Sarah Evans-Lombe. They have three children: two sons named Nat and Frank, and a daughter named Hope. The family lives near Norwich in Norfolk, England. Adam often includes his dog, Rosie, in the beginning and end parts of his podcast. He records these while walking in the countryside. He has also spoken publicly about taking care of his father, who passed away in 2015.
