Adam Munro (born November 12, 1982) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender. He played 17 games in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Chicago Blackhawks. This was during the 2003–04 and 2005–06 seasons. Most of his career, from 2003 to 2015, was spent in minor leagues and in Europe.

Adam Munro's Hockey Journey
Starting in the OHL
Adam Munro began his hockey career in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). The Erie Otters picked him in the 3rd round of the 1998 OHL Draft. This happened after he won a championship with his team in Brantford.
During the 2000-01 OHL season, Adam had an amazing streak. He went 22 games without a loss (17 wins, 0 losses, 5 ties). He finished that season with 26 wins, 6 losses, and 6 ties. He also set two new records for the Erie Otters. These records were for his Goals Against Average (GAA) and Save Percentage (SV%). He even played in a special game called the CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game.
Drafted by the NHL
In 2001, the Chicago Blackhawks chose Adam Munro in the first round of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. He was the 29th player picked overall.
After being drafted, Adam split his time between the Blackhawks in the NHL and their minor league team, the Norfolk Admirals (AHL). This was during the 2003-04 and 2005-06 seasons. During the 2004–05 NHL lockout, he spent most of his time playing in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Playing in Europe and Other Leagues
Adam Munro later moved to play hockey in Europe. On July 7, 2006, he signed with HC Fribourg-Gottéron in Switzerland.
He returned to North America for the 2007–08 AHL season. He played for the Syracuse Crunch, which was a team linked to the Columbus Blue Jackets. In the 2008–09 AHL season, he played for the Toronto Marlies. This team is the farm team for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
In 2009, he signed again with the Toronto Marlies. But on January 15, 2010, he left to play for HC Sibir Novosibirsk in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) in Russia.
Later, in the 2013–14 Austrian Hockey League season, Adam played for HC TWK Innsbruck. He even scored a goal on December 30, 2013! This is very rare for a goalie.
Recent Career News
On April 26, 2017, Adam Munro was recognized as the second-best goalie in the history of the Erie Otters by The Hockey Writers.
More recently, on October 30, 2019, the Hamilton Steelhawks announced they had signed Adam. He played for them in the Allan Cup Hockey league during the 2019-2020 season.
