Adam Carter Sioui (born May 10, 1982) is a Canadian former competitive swimmer. He was known for his skills in the butterfly and freestyle swimming styles. Adam once held the Canadian national record for the 200-metre butterfly race.

Early Life and Start in Swimming
Adam Sioui was born in Trenton, Ontario, Canada. From a young age, he showed great talent in swimming. He trained hard to become one of Canada's top swimmers.
College Swimming Career
Adam went to the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, in the United States. There, he joined the Florida Gators swimming and diving team. He swam for the university from 2002 to 2005.
During his time in college, Adam was a very successful swimmer. He earned nineteen All-American honors. This means he was recognized as one of the best college athletes in the country. In 2002, he even became the national champion in the 200-yard freestyle race.
International Competitions and Achievements
Adam Sioui competed for Canada in many big swimming events around the world.
National Championships
At the 2007 Canadian National Championships, Adam had an amazing performance. He won three gold medals:
- 100-metre freestyle
- 100-metre butterfly
- 200-metre butterfly
Pan American Games
Adam also won three bronze medals at the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. These medals were for:
- 200-metre freestyle
- 4x200-metre freestyle relay (with his Canadian team)
- 4x100-metre medley relay (with his Canadian team)
Olympic Games
Adam represented Canada at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. He competed in the 100-metre and 200-metre butterfly events. His Canadian team also finished fifth in the 4x200-metre freestyle relay.
Special Recognition
In 2009, Adam received a special honor called the National Aboriginal Achievement Award. This award is now known as the Indspire Awards. It celebrates the achievements of Indigenous people in Canada.
