Adamsburg is a small, unincorporated community in DeKalb County, Alabama, in the United States. It's located on Lookout Mountain, a beautiful area with scenic views. You can find it southeast of Fort Payne and close to the amazing Little River Canyon.
History of Adamsburg
Adamsburg got its name from a kind minister named Simon Russell Canfield Adams. He was from nearby Fort Payne. Mr. Adams generously gave land for a school in the community. This helped the area grow and develop.
A post office was opened in Adamsburg in 1902. This was an important step for the community. It meant people could send and receive mail easily. However, the post office has since closed down.
