Early life and background
Affion Crockett grew up in a military family. His father was in the US Army. Because of this, Affion lived in Germany and Fayetteville, North Carolina. His family also has roots in Trinidad and Tobago.
He went to Fayetteville State University. There, he earned a bachelor's degree in business.

Affion Crockett started his career in comedy in 1996. He first appeared on a show called Def Comedy Jam. He was known for his great impressions and funny physical comedy.

Affion was a cast member on the game show Wild 'n Out, hosted by Nick Cannon. He has also appeared in many popular TV shows. These include Curb Your Enthusiasm and Black-ish.
In 2011, Affion Crockett created and starred in his own sketch comedy show. It was called In the Flow with Affion Crockett and aired on Fox. The famous actor Jamie Foxx helped produce this show.
More recently, in 2022, Affion hosted a special reunion show. It was for the popular TV series Martin and was called Martin: The Reunion. It aired on BET+.
