Milton Howery Jr. (born December 17, 1979), known as Lil Rel Howery, is an American comedian and actor. He is famous for playing Robert Carmichael in the TV show The Carmichael Show. He also played Rod Williams in the movie Get Out. Lil Rel created and starred in his own TV series called Rel.

Growing Up in Chicago
Milton Howery Jr. grew up in Chicago, Illinois. His parents are Nancy and Milton. He went to Providence St. Mel School for a few years. Later, he attended Crane High School.
While in high school, Howery started writing jokes. He even created a script for a talent show. After that, he decided he wanted to be a professional comedian. He played basketball in high school too. People called him "Lil Rel" because he reminded them of his older cousin, Darrel.
Lil Rel Howery's Comedy Journey
Lil Rel Howery began his comedy career in Chicago. He first appeared on TV in 2007. This was on a show called Last Comic Standing. That same year, he was on HBO's P. Diddy Presents: The Bad Boys of Comedy.
In 2012, Howery joined a TV show called In Living Color. It was a comedy sketch show. He also worked as a writer and actor on Friends of the People. In 2015, he started co-starring in The Carmichael Show on NBC. He played Bobby Carmichael.

Lil Rel Howery has been in many movies. He starred with Ryan Reynolds in the comedy film Free Guy. He played a security guard named Buddy. From 2019 to 2022, he played Bishop on the HBO Max show South Side.
He also appeared in movies like I Love My Dad and Deep Water. In 2023, he was in Vacation Friends 2. In 2024, he will be in the movie Harold and the Purple Crayon. He will play Harold's friend Moose.
