Adam Sandler's Early Life and Education
Adam Sandler was born in Brooklyn, New York, on September 9, 1966. His mother, Judith, was a nursery school teacher, and his father, Stanley, was an electrical engineer. His family is Jewish and came from Russia. When he was six, his family moved to Manchester, New Hampshire, where he grew up.
As a teenager, Sandler was part of a Jewish youth group called BBYO. He later went to New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and graduated in 1988.

Starting Out: TV and First Movies (1987–1994)
In 1987, Adam Sandler had small roles on TV shows like The Cosby Show and the MTV game show Remote Control. He started performing comedy in clubs when he was 17. A comedian named Dennis Miller saw his act and suggested him to Lorne Michaels, the producer of Saturday Night Live (SNL).
Sandler joined SNL as a writer in 1990 and became a cast member the next year. He became famous for singing funny original songs on the show, such as "The Thanksgiving Song" and "The Chanukah Song". He left SNL in 1995, but later returned to host the show in 2019.

Adam Sandler has been married to Jacqueline "Jackie" Sandler since 2003. She converted to Judaism, which is Sandler's religion. They have two daughters, Sadie (born in May 2006) and Sunny (born in November 2008).
Adam Sandler's wife and children often appear in his movies. Both Sadie and Sunny have been in at least two of the Hotel Transylvania movies. His nephew, Jared, has also been featured in his films, like Pixels.
