Albert Moses (born December 19, 1937 – died September 15, 2017) was an actor from Sri Lanka. He lived and worked in the United Kingdom. He is best known for playing Ranjeet Singh in the popular British TV show Mind Your Language. Ranjeet was a student learning English in the show. Albert Moses was one of only four students who appeared in all four seasons of the series.

Albert Moses was born in Gampola, Kandy, Sri Lanka. He first worked at the University of Ceylon. Later, he moved to Africa for work. Finally, he moved to London to study acting and theatre.
He was very good at many languages, including English, Arabic, Tamil, and Sinhalese. He also had many skills like fencing, dancing, singing, and martial arts (karate and judo).
Albert Moses passed away in London in September 2017, when he was 79 years old. He was buried in his hometown of Gampola, Sri Lanka.
His Acting Journey
Albert Moses started acting in the 1960s in India. He appeared in several Bollywood movies. He even produced and directed his own film there. After India, he worked on documentaries in Africa.
In the early 1970s, he moved to Britain. He got small roles in many TV shows. Then, he was chosen to play Ranjeet Singh in the TV comedy Mind Your Language. Ranjeet was a Sikh character from Punjab, India. The show ran from 1977 to 1979 and again in 1986.
Albert Moses also acted in many plays. These included Freeway at the National Theatre and Phædra Britannica with Diana Rigg. He also helped produce 13 episodes of Mind Your Language.
His last movie was The Snarling (2018). In this film, he paid tribute to his role in An American Werewolf in London (1981). The Snarling was dedicated to his memory.
