Alec Ingold (born July 9, 1996) is an American professional football player. He plays as a fullback for the Miami Dolphins in the National Football League (NFL). Before joining the NFL, he played college football for the Wisconsin Badgers.

Alec Ingold's Early Life and School
Alec Ingold grew up with a passion for football. In high school, he was a talented dual-threat quarterback. This means he was good at both running with the ball and throwing it. He played for Bay Port High School in Suamico, Wisconsin.
During his senior year, Alec was named the Wisconsin Player of the Year by both the Associated Press and Gatorade. He first planned to play quarterback at Northern Illinois University. However, he later chose to accept a scholarship from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He earned his college degree there. Later, he was accepted into a Master of Business Administration program.
College Football Career at Wisconsin
Alec Ingold played college football for the Wisconsin Badgers. He started his college career as a linebacker. Due to an injury to another player, he moved to running back. Before his second year, he switched to fullback.
He shared playing time with another fullback for two years. In his senior year, he became the main fullback. Alec was often used in short-yardage plays. These are plays where the team needs only a few yards to score or get a first down. He was very good at scoring touchdowns in these situations.
After his senior season, Alec was invited to the 2019 Senior Bowl. This is a special game for top college players. He was also the only true fullback invited to the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine. The Combine is where players show off their skills for NFL teams. At the Combine, he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.89 seconds. He also did 16 bench press repetitions.

Playing for the Raiders
Alec Ingold began his NFL career with the Oakland Raiders. He signed with them on May 3, 2019, as an undrafted free agent. This means he was not chosen in the NFL Draft but was signed afterward. He made his first start for the Raiders on September 9, 2019. This was during a Monday Night Football game against the Denver Broncos.
In Week 10 of his first season, Alec scored his first NFL touchdown. This happened in a game where the Raiders beat the Los Angeles Chargers 26–24. In 2020, the Raiders moved to Las Vegas and became the Las Vegas Raiders. On September 21, 2020, Alec caught the first Raiders touchdown ever scored in their new home, Allegiant Stadium. This was during a 34–24 victory over the New Orleans Saints.
Alec was recognized for his character and community work in 2020. He was nominated for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award by the Las Vegas Raiders. This award honors players for their excellence on the field and their work in the community. Unfortunately, in Week 10 of the 2021 season, Alec suffered a serious knee injury. He tore his ACL, which ended his season early.
Joining the Miami Dolphins
After his time with the Raiders, Alec Ingold signed with the Miami Dolphins. He joined the team on March 17, 2022. He signed a two-year contract worth $6.5 million. On August 31, 2023, he signed a new three-year contract extension with the Dolphins. This showed that the team valued his contributions.

Alec Ingold's Personal Life
Alec Ingold is a Christian. He is married to Alexa Ingold. Alec was adopted when he was a child. Because of his own experience, he now helps organizations that support the adoption of children. He works to raise awareness and help children find loving homes.
Besides football, Alec was also a talented wrestler in high school. He won a state championship in wrestling during his senior year. He won in the 220-pound weight class in Division 1. Before his first NFL season, Alec even had an internship at Oracle Corporation. This showed he was prepared for a career outside of football, just in case.
