Alessandro Cattelan (born 11 May 1980) is a well-known Italian television and radio presenter. He became famous for hosting popular shows like Total Request Live on MTV Italia and Le Iene on Mediaset's Italia 1. From 2011 to 2020, Alessandro also hosted the Italian version of the singing competition The X Factor.

He is also known for presenting the Italian late-night show E poi c'è Cattelan (EPCC) on Sky Uno. In 2022, he was one of the three hosts for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, alongside Laura Pausini and Mika. He is also set to co-host the final night of Sanremo 2025 with Carlo Conti and Alessia Marcuzzi.

Alessandro is a big fan of the football club Inter Milan. He often goes to their games and watches their training sessions.

Alessandro Cattelan's Career in TV and Film

Early TV Shows and Music Programs

Alessandro Cattelan started his career in television in 2003. He hosted a children's TV show called Ziggie on Italia 1. Later, he moved to MTV Italia, where he presented Most Wanted, a talk show. He also hosted Viva Las Vegas, a reality show.

From 2005 to 2008, he was a presenter for Total Request Live. This was a very popular music program. He also hosted its tour version, Total Request Live On Tour. In 2006, he worked as a reporter for the satirical program Le Iene.

Hosting X Factor and Late-Night TV

Alessandro became widely recognized for hosting X Factor in Italy. He hosted the talent show from 2011 to 2020. During this time, he also presented his own late-night show, E poi c'è Cattelan, on Sky Uno. This show ran from 2014 to 2020. He also hosted the annual David di Donatello ceremonies in 2016 and 2017.

In 2021, he hosted a variety show called Da grande on Rai 1. In 2022, he created and hosted a documentary series for Netflix called Alessandro Cattelan: One Simple Question.

Voice Acting and Movie Appearances

Alessandro has also lent his voice to animated movies. He was the Italian voice of Chuck in The Angry Birds Movie (2016) and The Angry Birds Movie 2 (2019). He also voiced Max in The Secret Life of Pets (2016) and The Secret Life of Pets 2 (2019).

He made his feature film debut in 2014 in Ogni maledetto Natale. In 2018, he had a small appearance as himself in the movie I'm Back.

Hosting Big Music Events

Alessandro Cattelan was one of the main hosts for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022. This huge international music competition was held in Italy. He shared the stage with Laura Pausini and Mika.

He is also scheduled to co-host the final night of the Sanremo Music Festival 2025. This is one of Italy's most important music festivals. He will host it alongside Carlo Conti and Alessia Marcuzzi.
