Laura Pausini's Music Style
Laura Pausini is known as a mezzo-soprano. This means she has a strong and classic singing voice. Some music critics have compared her voice to other famous female artists.
When she first started, some people thought she was a "teen idol" who only sang about teenage love. They sometimes criticized her songs for being too sad or simple. However, after her 1998 album La mia risposta, critics saw her as a more grown-up singer. They praised her simple style and powerful voice.
Laura is mainly a pop singer who sings romantic songs. But her music style has changed over the years. She has added influences from Latin music, soul music, and rock music. One music critic described her music as "glossy and sentimental pop ballads with light rock and strings." Another said she stands out from other Latin pop singers because of her sophisticated and European feel.
Since her 1996 album Le cose che vivi, Laura has also helped write most of her songs. And since her 1998 album La mia risposta, she has been involved in making her albums.
