Alicia Jayne Coutts (born September 14, 1987) is a famous Australian competitive swimmer. She was known for her skills in butterfly, freestyle, and medley events. Alicia represented Australia in three major events: the 2008 Summer Olympics, the 2012 Summer Olympics, and the 2010 Commonwealth Games. She was coached by John Fowlie. At the 2012 London Olympics, Alicia won five medals. This amazing achievement matched the records of other Australian swimming legends like Ian Thorpe and Shane Gould for medals won in a single Olympics.

Alicia Coutts was born in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. She went to St Matthews Primary School and then to Chisholm Catholic College for her high school education.

Olympic Beginnings: 2008 Games

Alicia Coutts competed in her first Olympic Games in 2008. This event took place in Beijing, China. She swam in the 200-metre individual medley race. In this event, she finished in fifth place.

Commonwealth and Pan Pacific Success: 2010

The year 2010 was a very successful one for Alicia. At the Pan Pacific Championships, she earned two silver medals in relay races. She also won a bronze medal in the 100-metre butterfly event.

Later that year, at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India, Alicia truly shined. She won five gold medals!
