History of All Saints' Church
This church is very old, dating back to the Middle Ages. Some parts of it are even from the 12th century, which is over 800 years ago! Around the year 1777, the church was made a bit smaller. Its tall tower also got some repairs at that time.
Changes Over Time
The chancel is the part of the church near the altar. It used to have a special east window made of terracotta. This was later replaced with a stone window during a big repair project in 1888. You can still find pieces of the old window, including two incomplete heads, inside the chancel today.
In 1958, a new porch was added to the south side of the church. Inside this porch, there is a beautifully carved doorway. This doorway was made in the 13th century, showing the Early English Period style of architecture.
