Allardt is a small city in Fentress County, Tennessee, United States. It's a place where about 555 people lived in 2020. The city is led by a mayor and a city council. The current mayor is Ms. Patricia (Pat) Brown Clark, who was elected in 2018. The city council has three members: Chris Crabtree, Thomas Potter, and Michael Wiley.

History of Allardt
Allardt was settled after 1880 by a group of German people. They were brought to the area by Frederick Allardt and Bruno Gernt, who came from Michigan. The town officially became a city in 1964.
Geography of Allardt
Allardt is located on top of the western Cumberland Plateau. This area is mostly flat but surrounded by rugged hills. The city covers about 3.8 square miles (9.76 square kilometers) of land.
Roads and Nearby Areas
Tennessee State Route 52 goes through Allardt from west to east. This road connects the city to Jamestown in the northwest and Rugby to the east. Another road, State Route 296, meets State Route 52 in the middle of Allardt. It then goes west to U.S. Route 127.
Natural Attractions Near Allardt
Just southeast of Allardt, you can find the Colditz Cove State Natural Area. This area is famous for its beautiful Northrup Falls, which are about 60 feet (18 meters) tall. A few miles northeast of the city is the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area. This large park offers many outdoor activities.

Every year, on the first Saturday of October, Allardt hosts a special event called the Great Pumpkin Festival and Weigh-Off. This festival is part of a worldwide event where giant pumpkins are weighed to see which is the biggest!
