Alvin Earl Walton (born March 14, 1964) is a former American football player. He played as a safety, which is a defensive position, for professional teams. He was with the Washington Redskins in the National Football League (NFL). Later, he played for the Baltimore Stallions in the Canadian Football League (CFL). Alvin Walton played college football at Mt. San Jacinto College and the University of Kansas. He is one of the few players to win championships in both the NFL and the CFL.

Early Life and School
Alvin Walton was born in Riverside, California. He grew up and went to high school in Banning, California. He attended Banning High School.
College Football Journey
After high school, Walton went to Mt. San Jacinto College. He played college football there for two years. Then, he moved to the University of Kansas. In 1985, he was unable to play in his senior year. This was because of his grades. He never finished his college degree.
Playing Pro Football
NFL Career with the Redskins
The Washington Redskins picked Alvin Walton in the 1986 NFL Draft. He was the 75th player chosen overall. He played safety for the Redskins. With the team, he won two Super Bowl championships. These were Super Bowl XXII and Super Bowl XXVI. He played for the Redskins until 1991. After leaving the team in 1992, he took a break from football.
CFL Career with the Stallions
Alvin Walton returned to football after three years. He joined the Baltimore Stallions in the CFL. In 1995, he helped the Stallions win the 83rd Grey Cup. This was a special win. It was the only time an American team has won the Grey Cup.

Alvin Walton is married and has seven children.
