Alycia Michelle Parks is an American professional tennis player. She was born on December 31, 2000. Alycia has achieved a high ranking of world No. 40 in singles and No. 27 in doubles. She has won one singles title and two doubles titles on the WTA Tour. This includes a big doubles title at the 2023 Western & Southern Open. She also won five singles titles and three doubles titles on the WTA Challenger Tour.

Alycia Parks' Tennis Journey

Starting Out and a Fast Serve

Alycia began her journey on the WTA Tour in 2021. She played in her first main tournament at the MUSC Health Open in Charleston. She won her first match there.

Later that year, at the US Open, Alycia showed off her powerful serve. She hit a serve that was 129 miles per hour. This tied the record for the fastest serve ever recorded by a woman at that tournament.

Breaking Through in 2022

The year 2022 was a big one for Alycia. She played in the German Open in Berlin. Her ranking improved a lot, moving up to No. 135 in the world.

At the Ostrava Open, Alycia had some amazing wins. She beat Karolína Plíšková, who used to be the world No. 1 player. Then, she defeated Maria Sakkari, who was ranked No. 7. This was her first time beating a player in the top 10. She reached her first WTA quarterfinal at this event. Alycia also won her first WTA doubles title at the same tournament, playing with Caty McNally.

Alycia started 2024 strong at the 2024 Australian Open. She reached the third round of a Grand Slam for the first time. She beat Daria Snigur and Leylah Fernandez before losing to Coco Gauff.

In doubles, she reached the semifinals of the 2024 Miami Open with Asia Muhammad. This helped her get back into the top 30 in doubles. Alycia also won two more WTA 125 singles titles in 2024.
