Zhang Shuai (Chinese: 张帅; pinyin: Zhāng Shuài; born January 21, 1989) is a professional tennis player from China. She is known for her powerful game and has achieved great success in doubles, winning three major Grand Slam titles. She also reached a career-high ranking of world No. 2 in doubles in July 2022. In singles, Zhang has won three WTA Tour titles and reached the quarterfinals at two Grand Slam events. She has proudly represented China in many international competitions, including the Olympic Games.

Zhang Shuai is a talented tennis player from Tianjin, China. She started playing tennis when she was just six years old. Her parents, a former football player and a former basketball player, introduced her to the sport.
Rising Through the Ranks

Overcoming Challenges and New Victories (2023-2026)
In 2023, Zhang won a WTA 500 doubles title at the Abu Dhabi Open with Luisa Stefani. After facing some challenges and a long losing streak in singles in 2024, she made an incredible comeback at the China Open. There, she defeated a top-10 player and reached the quarterfinals, showing great determination. She also reached the doubles final at the US Open with Kristina Mladenovic. In 2025, she continued to perform well in doubles, winning the Washington Open with Taylor Townsend. Most recently, in 2026, Zhang Shuai won her third Grand Slam doubles title at the Australian Open with Elise Mertens.
