After his time at Celtic, he played for Metz in France. He also played for Benfica Luanda in Angola. In 2016, he returned to Portugal to play for Marítimo. In recent years, Amido played for many different clubs. These included teams in Albania, Libya, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

Amido's Club Journey

Starting with Sporting CP

Amido Baldé was born in Bissau, Guinea-Bissau. He started his football career at Sporting de Bissau. This was a team linked to Sporting CP in Portugal. In 2008, he moved to Lisbon to continue his training with Sporting CP. He helped their youth teams win championships. He scored 13 goals in 29 games during the 2008–09 season.

In the 2010–11 season, Amido played his first games as a senior player. He was loaned to Santa Clara in Portugal's second league. He also played for Badajoz in Spain. Still owned by Sporting, he then joined Cercle Brugge in Belgium for the 2011–12 season.

Playing for Vitória Guimarães

Sporting CP released Amido in the summer of 2012. On August 28, he signed a two-year contract with Primeira Liga team Vitória de Guimarães. He played his first game on September 21, coming on as a late substitute. His team won 1–0 against Moreirense.

Amido scored his first goal for the club on November 23. He scored a goal in injury time, making the game a 2–2 draw against Beira-Mar. He played in 37 matches in all competitions during his only season with the team. This included seven games in the Taça de Portugal, which is Portugal's main cup competition.

He helped Vitória de Guimarães win the tournament for the first time ever. He was replaced in the 90th minute of the final against Benfica. Vitória won that game 2–1.

Time with Celtic

On June 13, 2013, Amido signed a four-year contract with Scottish Premier League champions Celtic. He was excited to join "one of the best clubs in Europe." He made his first official appearance on July 23. This was in a Champions League qualifier against Cliftonville.

Amido scored his first goal for Celtic on September 28, 2013. He came on as a substitute and scored the last goal in a 5–2 win against Kilmarnock. On October 27, he scored the winning goal against Partick Thistle. He played in 20 league games that season, mostly as a substitute. His only other goal came in a 4–0 win over Kilmarnock in January 2014.

On September 1, 2014, Amido joined Waasland-Beveren in Belgium on a loan. He scored a great goal from 40 yards out in his debut game. This was his only goal for the club. In January 2015, he went on another loan to Hapoel Tel Aviv in Israel. He played 11 games there but did not score. In June 2015, Celtic ended Amido's contract early.

Moving to Metz

On July 16, 2015, Amido signed a two-year deal with Metz in France. They played in Ligue 2, which is the second division. He played his first game on August 1, a 0–0 draw against Lens. Amido did not score any goals during his time at Metz. He played in nine official games for the club.

Playing in Angola and Portugal

After leaving Metz, Amido moved to Angola on January 14, 2016. He joined Benfica de Luanda. In his only season there, he scored six goals. This helped his team finish sixth in the Girabola league. He left the club in August 2016.

In August 2016, Amido returned to Portugal and European football. He signed with Marítimo. In March 2017, while on loan to Tondela, he had to go to the hospital. He was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism, a serious health issue. Marítimo stopped paying him, saying they didn't have to since he couldn't play. He needed help from the players' union to support his family. By the end of 2017, he was still not fully healthy.
