Amr Medhat Mohsen Warda (born on September 17, 1993) is a professional footballer from Egypt. He plays as a winger or an attacking midfielder. Currently, he plays for the Greek Super League club Atromitos.

Club Football Journey

Playing for Panetolikos

Amr Warda joined Panetolikos in Greece on August 22, 2015. He signed a three-year contract. He was very happy when fans voted his goal as the "Best Goal" for the second matchday in the Super League Greece. Warda said he would always try his best for himself and his team.

On December 20, 2015, he scored his first goal for the club. This helped Panetolikos win 2–0 against Iraklis. He was named the best player of that match. In the 2016–17 season, he scored his first goal on September 11, 2016, against PAOK. A week later, he scored again in a 2–0 win against Atromitos.

Joining PAOK FC

On January 24, 2017, Warda signed a 3.5-year contract with PAOK. He was the seventh Egyptian player to join PAOK. He chose to wear jersey number 7 in Greece. On April 23, 2017, he scored his first league goal for PAOK. This goal came in a 3–1 away win against Platanias.

In July 2017, Warda was loaned to Feirense in Portugal. However, the loan agreement ended quickly, just a few days after he joined the club.

Loan to Atromitos FC

On August 29, 2017, Warda joined Atromitos on a loan for the season. He scored his first goal for Atromitos on September 23, 2017, in a 3–0 home win. On December 16, 2017, he scored two goals, helping his team win 3–1. He was named the best player of that game. Warda was also named the best playmaker of the first part of the season. He scored five goals and made two assists in 12 league games.

Back to PAOK FC

In the summer of 2018, Warda returned to PAOK. On August 21, 2018, he scored a goal in a UEFA Champions League play-off game against Benfica. The match ended in a 1–1 draw.

Second Time at Atromitos FC

On January 24, 2019, Warda rejoined Atromitos for the rest of the 2018–19 season. On February 16, 2019, he scored a goal in a 2–0 away win against PAS Giannina. A week later, he scored to tie the score in a 1–1 draw against Asteras Tripoli.

Loan to AEL

On August 30, 2019, Warda went on loan to AEL for the season. He scored his first goal for AEL on September 28, 2019. This goal helped secure a 3–2 away win against Aris. On January 22, 2020, he scored two goals in a 2–2 home draw against Panetolikos F.C..

Playing for Volos FC

After his loan at AEL ended, Warda joined Volos on September 28, 2020. He signed a one-year contract. He scored a goal on his debut for Volos on October 17, 2020, in a 2–1 win against PAS Giannina.

Third Time at PAOK FC

On January 5, 2021, Warda returned to PAOK permanently from Volos. In July 2021, Warda left the club.

Moving to Anorthosis Famagusta

On August 29, 2021, Anorthosis signed Warda on a free transfer. He was named the "MVP" (Most Valuable Player) of the Cyprus championship for the 2021–22 season. This award was based on votes from other football players. He played 27 league games, scoring 9 goals and making 8 assists.

Anorthosis extended Warda's contract until 2023 on July 21, 2022. However, his contract ended early in January 2023.

Time at Apollon Limassol

Soon after, Warda signed a six-month contract with Apollon Limassol. He joined them until the end of the 2022–23 season. With Warda on the team, Apollon's attack became much stronger. He played 19 games, scoring 4 goals and making 4 assists.

Short Stays at Other Clubs

On August 12, 2023, Warda joined Moroccan team Raja Casablanca. However, he left the club just twelve days later. He then signed with Cypriot team Doxa Katokopias on August 24, 2023, but this agreement was also cancelled quickly. After that, Warda joined another Egyptian team, Pharco, on September 9, 2023.

Joining Panserraikos FC

On December 20, 2023, Greek club Panserraikos announced that Warda would join them starting January 1, 2024. His contract with the club ended by mutual agreement on May 3, 2024.

International Career for Egypt

On October 11, 2015, Amr Warda played his first game for the Egyptian national team. This was a friendly match against Zambia. His good performance at Panetolikos led to him being called up for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations squad.

He helped Egypt reach the final of the tournament. He scored the last penalty in the semi-finals against Burkina Faso. In the final match, Egypt lost 1–2 to Cameroon.

In May 2018, he was included in Egypt's team for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. In June 2019, Warda was temporarily excluded from the national team. However, the Egyptian Football Association brought him back to the team two days later after he posted an apology video.

Personal Life

Amr Warda is the son of Mohsen Medhat Warda, who was a famous international basketball player.
