The 2015–16 Super League Greece was an exciting season for Greek football. It was the 80th time this top league was played. The season kicked off on August 22, 2015, and wrapped up in May 2016.

Sixteen teams competed in the league. Fourteen of these teams were already in the Super League from the previous season. Two new teams, AEK Athens and Iraklis, joined after being promoted from a lower league.

Play-offs for European Spots

After the regular season, the teams finishing from 2nd to 5th place played in a special mini-tournament called the play-offs. The winner of these play-offs would get a spot in the Champions League, while other teams would qualify for the Europa League.

The teams didn't start with zero points in the play-offs. Instead, their points from the regular season were used to give them a head start. The team that finished 5th started with 0 points. The other teams had their points adjusted based on how far ahead they were of the 5th-place team. This made the play-offs very exciting!
