Aide Brown Ideye (born on October 11, 1988) is a professional footballer from Nigeria. He plays as a striker for Enyimba. Brown Ideye also played for the Nigerian national team. He helped them win the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

Brown Ideye: A Football Star
Early Days in Football
Brown Ideye was born in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, Nigeria. He started his football journey with Bayelsa United. Later, he joined Ocean Boys. He was part of the Ocean Boys team that won the Nigeria Premier League in 2006.
In January 2008, Ideye moved to Europe. He signed with Swiss Super League club Neuchâtel Xamax in Switzerland. Before this, he tried out for a Dutch team, Willem II, but didn't sign with them. After three years with Xamax, Ideye moved to France. He joined the Ligue 1 club Sochaux.
Playing in Europe
Dynamo Kyiv Adventures
On July 6, 2011, Ideye signed a five-year contract with Dynamo Kyiv in Ukraine. He quickly made an impact, scoring two goals in his first game. He scored another two goals in his second game for Dynamo.
In 2012, Ideye scored an important goal in a UEFA Champions League qualifying game. This helped Dynamo Kyiv move forward in the competition. He also scored in another play-off game, helping his team reach the Champions League group stage. In 2014, he was part of the Dynamo team that won the 2014 Ukrainian Cup Final.
Premier League Challenge with West Brom
On July 18, 2014, Ideye joined English Premier League club West Bromwich Albion. He became the club's most expensive player at the time. It was a tough start for him in England.
However, he scored his first league goal in December 2014. In February 2015, he scored four goals in just six days. These goals came against Burnley, Swansea City, and West Ham United.
Winning with Olympiacos
On August 31, 2015, Ideye moved to Olympiacos in Greece. He was excited to play in the Champions League again. In October 2015, he scored a winning goal for Olympiacos in a Champions League group stage match.
In 2016, he turned down a big offer from China. He preferred to stay with Olympiacos. He was a key player when the club won the Greek championship for the sixth year in a row.
Journey to China and Spain
In January 2017, Ideye left Olympiacos for Chinese Super League team Tianjin Teda. He signed a two-and-a-half-year contract. In January 2018, he moved to Spanish La Liga side Málaga on a six-month loan.
Back to Greece with Aris
On June 20, 2019, Ideye returned to Greece. He joined Aris on a one-year contract. He scored his first goal for Aris in September 2019. It was in a big 4–0 win against Panathinaikos.
He continued to score important goals for Aris. He scored in a derby against PAOK and from a penalty against Panetolikos. In December 2019, he scored two goals in a 4–0 win against Volos. He also scored in the Greek Cup games, helping Aris reach the quarter-finals.
Latest Club: Enyimba
In December 2024, Brown Ideye signed with Nigerian Professional Football League club Enyimba. He will play for them until the end of the 2024–25 season.
Playing for Nigeria
Ideye played for Nigeria's national youth team in 2007. He scored one goal in five games at the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup. In May 2010, he was called up to the senior national team. He was part of the team for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
He was also selected for Nigeria's squad for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations. He played in most of their games. He scored Nigeria's second goal in their 4–1 semi-final win against Mali. He also played in the final, where Nigeria won 1–0 against Burkina Faso. Ideye was also part of Nigeria's team for the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup.
