Aide Brown Ideye (born 11 October 1988) is a professional football player from Nigeria. He plays as a striker, which means his main job is to score goals. He has played for many clubs across the world and for the Nigerian national team.
One of his biggest achievements was helping Nigeria win the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations. He is also the Director of Player Pathways and Partnerships at Atlantic Business Football Club, where he helps young players develop their skills.

A Journey Through Football Clubs
Starting in Nigeria and Europe
Brown Ideye was born in Yenagoa, Nigeria. He started his football career with a local club called Bayelsa United. He then moved to Ocean Boys, where he helped the team win the Nigeria Premier League in 2006.
In 2008, Ideye moved to Europe to play for Neuchâtel Xamax in Switzerland. After three successful years there, he joined the French club Sochaux.
Shining in Ukraine with Dynamo Kyiv
On 6 July 2011, Ideye signed a five-year contract with Dynamo Kyiv, a top club in Ukraine. He made an amazing start, scoring two goals in his very first game. He continued to score many goals for the team.
He also played in the UEFA Champions League, one of the biggest club competitions in the world. He scored important goals against teams like Feyenoord and Borussia Mönchengladbach. In 2014, he was part of the team that won the Ukrainian Cup.
Playing in England's Premier League
On 18 July 2014, Ideye moved to England to play for West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League. This was a big move, and the club paid a record fee of £10 million for him.
After a slow start, he began to show his talent. In February 2015, he had a fantastic week, scoring four goals in just six days. He scored against Burnley and Swansea City in the league and two more against West Ham United in the FA Cup.
Success in Greece with Olympiacos
On 31 August 2015, Ideye joined Olympiacos in Greece. He was excited to play in the Champions League again. He scored a winning goal against Dinamo Zagreb in a Champions League match.
In 2016, he helped Olympiacos win the Superleague Greece championship for the sixth time in a row. He was a very important player for the team and was loved by the fans.
Adventures in Other Countries
After his time in Greece, Ideye's career took him to many other countries.
- China: In 2017, he played for Tianjin Teda in the Chinese Super League.
- Spain: In 2018, he went on loan to Málaga in Spain's La Liga.
- Return to Greece: In 2019, he returned to Greece to play for Aris, where he continued to score important goals.
- Turkey and Kuwait: He later played for Göztepe in Turkey and Al-Yarmouk in Kuwait.
Return to Nigeria
In December 2024, Ideye returned to his home country to play for Enyimba in the Nigerian Professional Football League.
Playing for Nigeria
Ideye was proud to represent his country, Nigeria. He first played for the under-20 team in 2007.
In 2010, he was called up to the senior national team for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. His biggest moment came in 2013 when he helped Nigeria win the Africa Cup of Nations. He scored a key goal in the semi-final against Mali. He also played in the final, where Nigeria beat Burkina Faso 1–0 to become champions of Africa.
