Anastasiya Ihorivna Petryk (born 4 May 2002), often called Nastya , is a talented singer from Ukraine. She is famous for winning the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with her song "Nebo". She was the first Ukrainian singer to win this big competition!
Anastasiya's Musical Journey
In 2009, when Anastasiya was just 7 years old, she appeared on the TV show Ukraine's Got Talent. She was there with her older sister, Viktoria "Vika" Petryk. Viktoria had already represented Ukraine in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2008, where she came in second place.
Even though Anastasiya was only supposed to support her sister, the judges invited her to sing a song with Viktoria. They sang "I Love Rock 'n' Roll" together. The judges were so impressed that they invited both sisters to join the show. They made it all the way to the semi-finals! In the same year, Anastasiya also won first prize at "Moloda Halychyna" and second prize at the "Black Sea Games 2009".
In 2010, Anastasiya took part in the "New Wave Junior 2010" music competition. This event was held in Artek, Ukraine. She won first prize in her age group, which was for kids aged 8 to 12. Her sister Viktoria also won in the older age group.
In 2012, Anastasiya Petryk won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with her song "Nebo". She set new records for the contest! She won with 138 points, which was 35 points more than the second-place winner. Also, 8 out of 12 countries (not counting Ukraine) gave her the top score of 12 points.
In the spring of 2022, Anastasiya moved to Philadelphia in the United States. This happened after a difficult situation began in Ukraine.
