The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2012 was a big music competition for young singers. It was the tenth time this contest happened! It took place in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on December 1, 2012.
The show was held at the Heineken Music Hall. A Dutch TV company called AVRO helped put the whole event together. This was the second time the Netherlands hosted the contest. They also hosted it in 2007 in Rotterdam. The main idea or "motto" for the 2012 contest was "Break The Ice".

Twelve different countries took part in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2012. Each country sent a young artist or group to sing their special song. Here's how everyone placed:

The winner of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2012 was Anastasiya Petryk from Ukraine! She sang a beautiful song called "Nebo," which means "Sky." Ukraine got a total of 138 points.
Coming in second place was Funkids from Georgia with their song "Funky Lemonade." They scored 103 points. The Compass Band from
Armenia took third place with "Sweetie Baby" and 98 points.
How the Points Were Given
In Junior Eurovision, countries vote for their favorite songs. They give points from 1 to 8, 10, and then 12 points to the song they liked the most. To make sure no country ended up with zero points, every country automatically started with 12 points!

- Every country automatically received 12 points at the start of voting. This rule makes sure no country gets zero points.

Some countries joined the contest for the first time in 2012. These were Albania,
