2012 ← Junior Eurovision Song Contest → 2014

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013 was the 11th time this exciting music competition happened. It took place in Kiev, Ukraine on November 30, 2013. The big show was held at the National Palace of Arts "Ukraina".

The Ukrainian TV company, NTU, was the host for the event. This was actually the second time Kiev hosted the contest, with the first being in 2009. It was also special because it was the second time in Junior Eurovision history that the winning country from the previous year (Ukraine won in 2012) also hosted the next contest!

Participating Countries and Songs

Twelve countries took part in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013. Each country sent a young artist or group to perform an original song. Here's how they all did:

How the Voting Works

In Junior Eurovision, each country gives points to their favorite songs. They can give 1 to 7 points, then 8, 10, and finally 12 points to their top choice. All countries automatically start with 12 points to make sure everyone has a good score!
