Anders Bagge, born on January 16, 1968, is a famous Swedish music maker. He writes songs, creates music, and produces records. You might know him best as a judge on the popular TV show Idol in Sweden. He also helped start a music company called Murlyn Music Group.
Anders is part of a songwriting team called Bagge & Peer. He works with Peer Åström to create many hit songs.

Anders Bagge's Early Life
Anders grew up in a family that loved music. His father, Sven-Olof Bagge, was also a music producer and songwriter. Anders looked up to his dad and started playing music early. He learned to play the trumpet and piano when he was a child.
By the time he was seventeen, Anders began making his own music. In his early twenties, he started finding new music artists. He even worked for a while with Cheiron Studios, a famous music studio, before deciding to work on his own.
Anders Bagge's Music Career
In the early 1990s, Anders was a member of a music group called Legacy of Sound. He then started his own music company, Murlyn, in 1997. Just one year later, he had a huge success. He helped write and produce the song "Because of You" for the American boy band 98 Degrees. This song became very popular, reaching number 3 on the music charts in the United States.
Anders has written and produced songs for many famous singers and groups. Some of these include Westlife, Janet Jackson, Celine Dion, Madonna, Santana, Jennifer Lopez, and Enrique Iglesias. In 2005, he won an award for Best Pop Song at the BMI London Awards. This was for his work on Janet Jackson's song "All Nite (Don't Stop)."
Eurovision Song Contest Appearances
Anders Bagge has also been involved in the Eurovision Song Contest as a songwriter. He wrote songs for Azerbaijan twice. In 2010, he wrote "Drip Drop" for Safura Alizadeh. In 2012, he wrote "When the Music Dies" for Sabina Babayeva.
In 2022, Anders decided to perform himself in Melodifestivalen. This is the contest where Sweden chooses its song for Eurovision. He sang his song "Bigger than the Universe". His song received the most votes from the audience in the final. However, he finished second overall to Cornelia Jakobs' song "Hold Me Closer".
