Andre Frazier, born on June 29, 1982, is a former American football player. He played as a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) for five seasons. He started his NFL journey with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2005. Before that, he played college football at the University of Cincinnati. Andre is special because he won two Super Bowl rings with the Steelers! He also played for the Cincinnati Bengals. His dad, Guy Frazier, was also an NFL linebacker.

Growing Up: Andre's Early Football Days
Andre Frazier grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. He went to Hughes Center High School. There, he was a star player on the football team. He was named one of the best players in the city twice. Andre helped his team win two League Titles. He graduated from Hughes High School in 2000.
College Career: Playing for the Bearcats
After high school, Andre played college football. He joined the University of Cincinnati team. He played for them from 2000 to 2004. In 2004, he won a special award. It was called the Strothman Award. This award recognized his excellent skills in both academics and sports.
Andre's NFL Journey: A Professional Player
First Time with the Pittsburgh Steelers
Andre Frazier began his professional career with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He joined them in 2005. Even though he wasn't picked in the NFL Draft, the Steelers signed him. He started on the practice squad. But soon, he moved up to the main team. He played in 11 games that season. He mostly played on special teams.
During the 2006 AFC Championship game, Andre got hurt. He broke a bone in his leg. But even though he was injured, his team kept winning! The Steelers went on to win Super Bowl XL. They beat the Seattle Seahawks. Andre celebrated with his team and received a Super Bowl ring!
After that season, the Steelers decided to let Andre go.
Playing for the Cincinnati Bengals
On September 28, 2006, Andre signed with his hometown team. He joined the Cincinnati Bengals. He played for them in the first two games of the 2007 NFL season. But after a tough loss, the Bengals released him.
Second Time with the Pittsburgh Steelers
After leaving the Bengals, Andre went back to the Pittsburgh Steelers. He rejoined them in 2007. In 2009, he signed a new contract with the Steelers. It was for two years. Sadly, in 2010, Andre got a knee injury. This injury put him on injured reserve.
Andre's Family: A Football Legacy
Andre Frazier comes from a football family. His father, Guy Frazier, was also an NFL linebacker. Guy played for the Cincinnati Bengals and the Buffalo Bills.
It's cool because both Andre and his dad were rookies when their teams made it to the Super Bowl. But only Andre's team won the big game! When Guy was asked about his son winning a Super Bowl, he said something special. He said, "A father always wants to see his son do better than himself." He was very proud of Andre's victory.
