Andrew McFarlane is a well-known Australian actor. He has appeared in many plays, TV shows, and movies. He has been acting for a long time, starting in 1971.

About Andrew McFarlane
His Early Life
Andrew McFarlane was born in Albany, Western Australia. His family later moved to Melbourne. There, he went to Camberwell Grammar School. He enjoyed being in school plays. He also took part in school cadets.
Acting Career
Andrew started his TV career in police shows like Homicide and Matlock Police. He then got a regular role in Division 4. After that, he joined the World War II TV show The Sullivans. He played John Sullivan, the oldest son.
He left The Sullivans after 18 months. In the story, his character John was reported missing. The writers hoped Andrew would come back. He did return for a TV movie called The John Sullivan Story. For this role, he won a Sammy Award in 1977. This award was for best supporting actor in a TV series.
Later, Andrew took the main role in the miniseries The Flying Doctors. He played the same role in the TV series that followed. He left this popular show after 16 episodes. But he came back for another 37 episodes in the fifth season. He also appeared in Rafferty's Rules. Andrew has played a father in the soap opera Home and Away. In 2005, he played Bobby Hoyland in Neighbours.
Since 2000, Andrew has been a presenter on Play School. This is a popular children's TV show. He also appeared on Australian History on ABC. He acted in the TV series Spellbinder. In this show, he played Brian Reynolds, Paul's father. He was also Hugh Delaney in the miniseries The Alice.
In 2009, he played Donald Mackay in the series Underbelly: A Tale of Two Cities. In 2010, he was in a musical for the first time. It was Fame – The Musical at the Capitol Theatre, Sydney.
Andrew had regular roles in other TV series too. These include Love Child (2014) and Devil's Playground. He also appeared in Glitch (both 2015).
