Andwil is a small town, also called a municipality, located in Switzerland. It is part of the St. Gallen area, which is in the canton of St. Gallen.

History of Andwil
Andwil is a very old place! It was first written about in the year 846. Back then, it was known as Anninwilare. Later, in 1275, its name was recorded as Annewiler.

Andwil covers an area of about 6.3 square kilometers (2.4 square miles). A large part of this land, about 68.5%, is used for farming. Forests cover about 20.3% of the area. The rest of the land, about 9.6%, has buildings and roads. A small part (1.6%) is made up of rivers or lakes.
The town of Andwil is located in the St. Gallen region. It includes the main village of Andwil. It also has smaller areas called hamlets. These are Oberarnegg, Fronackeren, and Hinterberg. There's also a more distant area known as Andwilermoos.
