Angelina Jordan Astar (born January 10, 2006) is a talented singer from Norway. She became famous at just seven years old when she sang "Gloomy Sunday" on Norway's Got Talent in 2014. Her performance quickly became a viral video on the internet, and people all over the world started talking about her.

Angelina won the competition when she was eight, singing "Summertime". Since then, she has used her voice to help others. She has raised money for environmental causes and different charities that help children. Angelina always performs barefoot. This tradition started after she met a young girl who didn't have shoes and gave her own shoes away. Angelina even wrote a book about this special experience called Mellom to hjerter (Between Two Hearts).

Angelina has released many digital songs and EPs (which are like mini-albums). She also has a full album called It's Magic. She appeared on the TV show Little Big Shots in 2016. In 2020, she was on America's Got Talent: The Champions. Her amazing version of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" on that show got a lot of attention.

Angelina has lived in the United States since 2018. In August 2020, she signed a big music deal with Republic Records. Her first song with them, "Million Miles", came out in November 2020.

Starting with Norway's Got Talent

Angelina's performances on Norway's Got Talent became very popular online in March 2014. She sang songs like "Gloomy Sunday" and "I'm a Fool to Want You". She also sang "Fly Me to the Moon" on a TV talk show. Soon, she was featured in big magazines like Time and People.

She continued in the competition, singing "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)". She won the show with her performance of "Summertime". She sang it in a style similar to the famous singers Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong.

Becoming Known in the US

In September 2014, Angelina sang "Fly Me to the Moon" on the US TV show The View. This helped her become even more famous in America. She also performed on many TV shows in Norway and Sweden.

Angelina even had a small acting role in the last episode of the Netflix show Lilyhammer. She played a girl who sings in a bar.

In December 2014, Angelina got to sing for Peace Prize winners Malala Yousafzai and Kailash Satyarthi. This was at a special event for Save the Children. It was a dream come true for her.

Her first music release was a three-song collection called My Christmas in December 2014. She performed these songs on many TV shows during the Christmas season.

YouTube and New Music

In 2015, Angelina started recording more music. These songs were later put together on an EP called Angelina Jordan – The EP, released in November 2017. Many of these songs were shared on her official YouTube channel as music videos.

Some of her most popular videos included her versions of "I Put a Spell on You" and "Back to Black". For "Back to Black", she even wrote her own lyrics. By 2020, these videos had over 5 million views each. In 2017, she started a second YouTube channel just for her cover songs.

The Book and Barefoot Singing

In November 2015, Angelina published her book Mellom to hjerter (Between Two Hearts). Her grandmother, Mery Zamani, who is an artist, drew the pictures for the book. The story is about Angelina meeting a poor girl in the Middle East who doesn't have shoes. They talk about their dreams, and Angelina gives the girl her shoes. The girl promises to pray for Angelina to become a successful singer. Angelina says this story is based on something real that happened when she was six. This is why she always performs without shoes.

TV Appearances and Albums

In April 2016, Angelina sang "Fly Me to the Moon" on the first season of Little Big Shots. This show features talented children. A year later, she sang "What a Difference a Day Makes" on the UK version of the show. She also performed "I Put a Spell on You" on the German version, Little Big Stars, in 2017.

In December 2016, she performed at a live concert called Alan Walker is Heading Home. She sang Alan Walker's songs "Sing Me to Sleep" and "Faded".

On June 27, 2018, Angelina sang "Fly Me to the Moon" for the famous music producer Quincy Jones in London. This was part of his 85th birthday celebration. She also joined other singers to perform "Man in the Mirror" at the end of the show.

America's Got Talent and New Music Deals

In 2019, Angelina performed for former president Barack Obama at a conference in Stockholm.

In October 2019, she competed in America's Got Talent: The Champions. Her first performance was a unique version of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody". Judge Heidi Klum gave her the "golden buzzer," which sent her straight to the finals! A video of her performance quickly went viral online. Even Queen's official Twitter account praised her. Angelina later released her own studio version of this song. In the finals, she sang a new version of "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road". While it was well-received, she didn't make it into the top 5 acts.

In August 2020, Angelina's manager announced that she had signed with Republic Records. Her first song with them, "Million Miles", was released on November 6, 2020. A lyric video was posted on her YouTube channel that same day. The song was produced by the Norwegian duo Stargate, who also helped write it. She later released two more music videos for the song.

In June 2022, after a break due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, Angelina started performing live again. She appeared on the TV show Allsang på Grensen.
