Angelina Jordan Astar (born 10 January 2006) is a talented singer from Norway. When she was just seven years old, her audition for Norway's Got Talent became super popular online. She sang "Gloomy Sunday" in the style of Billie Holiday.
Angelina won the competition at age eight with her amazing performance of George Gershwin's "Summertime". Since then, she has used her voice to help raise money for environmental causes and charities that support children. She always performs barefoot. This is because she once met a young girl who had no shoes and gave her own shoes to her. Angelina even wrote a book about this special moment called Mellom to hjerter (Between Two Hearts).
She has released many songs and EPs (smaller albums), plus a full album called It's Magic. Angelina appeared on Little Big Shots in 2016. In 2020, she was on America's Got Talent: The Champions. Her cover of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" got a lot of attention and praise. Angelina has lived in the United States since 2018. In 2020, she signed with Republic Records, and her first song with them was "Million Miles".

Angelina Jordan's Singing Journey
Early Fame: Norway's Got Talent
Angelina Jordan became famous in March 2014 after her performances on Norway's Got Talent went viral. She sang songs like "Gloomy Sunday" and "I'm a Fool to Want You". News outlets around the world, including Time and People, wrote about her.
She continued to impress judges and fans. She sang Nancy Sinatra's "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)" in the semi-finals. She won the show with her version of "Summertime".
In September 2014, Angelina performed "Fly Me to the Moon" on the US TV show The View. This helped her become even more known in the United States. She also appeared on several TV shows in Norway and Sweden.
Angelina even had a small part in the Netflix show Lilyhammer, where she played a girl singing in a bar. In December 2014, she sang for Nobel Peace Prize winners Malala Yousafzai and Kailash Satyarthi. This was at a special event for Save the Children. Her first recording, My Christmas, was released in December 2014.
Growing Her Music and Story
In 2015, Angelina started recording music for her EP, Angelina Jordan – The EP, which came out in 2017. Many of these songs were shared on her official YouTube channel. Her music videos for "I Put a Spell on You" and Amy Winehouse's "Back to Black" became very popular. In 2017, she started a second YouTube channel just for her cover songs.
In November 2015, Angelina published her book Mellom to hjerter (Between Two Hearts). Her grandmother, Mery Zamani, drew the pictures for the book. The story is about Angelina meeting a poor girl in the Middle East who had no shoes. Angelina gave the girl her shoes, and the girl promised to pray for Angelina's dream to become a singer. Angelina says this true story, which happened when she was six, is why she always performs barefoot.
In April 2016, Angelina sang "Fly Me to the Moon" on the first season of Little Big Shots. A year later, she performed "What a Difference a Day Makes" on the UK version of the show. She also sang "I Put a Spell on You" on the German version, Little Big Stars.

The video of her performance quickly went viral, and even Queen's official Twitter account praised her.
Angelina later released a studio version of her "Bohemian Rhapsody" arrangement. In the finals, she sang a new version of "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road". While her performance was loved, she did not make it into the top 5 acts.
In August 2020, Angelina signed with Republic Records. Her first song with them, "Million Miles", was released in November 2020. It was produced by the Norwegian duo Stargate. She released several music videos for the song, including one with her younger sister.
