The Anguille Mountains (pronounced "an-GWIL") are a special part of the Long Range Mountains. You can find them on the west coast of the island of Newfoundland, Canada. They stretch along the beautiful Gulf of St. Lawrence.
Discovering the Anguille Mountains
These mountains cover an area of about 64 kilometers (or 40 miles). They start near Cape Anguille and follow the edge of Bay St. George.
Part of a Bigger Mountain System
The Anguille Mountains are considered a section of the Long Range Mountains. The Long Range Mountains themselves are part of an even larger mountain system. This bigger system is called the Appalachian Mountain system. This means the Anguille Mountains are connected to a huge chain of mountains that runs through eastern North America!
