Anthony Montreace Grundy (born April 15, 1979 – died November 14, 2019) was an American professional basketball player. He was 6 feet 3 inches (1.91 m) tall. Anthony played as both a point guard and a shooting guard during his career.

High School Basketball Journey
Anthony Grundy started his high school basketball career at Warren Central High School. This school is located in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He played for a famous coach, Darel Carrier, who was an ABA legend.
During his final year of high school, Grundy moved to play at Hargrave Military Academy. This academy is in Chatham, VA. There, he played for coaches Scott Shephard and Kevin Keats.
College Career Highlights
Anthony Grundy first planned to play for Bradley University. He signed a letter of intent in his junior year of high school. Later, he asked the university to let him go from his commitment. They agreed to his request.
Grundy then visited several other schools. He decided to play college basketball for NC State. He joined the NC State Wolfpack team. At first, he was a player who came off the bench.
By his senior year, he became a star player. He was named to the 1st Team All-ACC. In that same season, he made history for his school. He was the first player ever to lead his team in five important stats. These included scoring, assists, rebounds, steals, and 3-pointers made. Anthony Grundy also earned a spot on the All-ACC-Defensive team in 2002.
Professional Basketball Journey
Anthony Grundy played for many teams around the world. He even played a few games in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He joined the Atlanta Hawks for 12 games during the 2005–06 NBA season. He signed a short, ten-day contract with them.
Playing in Europe
After his time in the NBA, Grundy played in Europe. He played in the Italian league for Siviglia Wear Teramo in the 2006–07 season. On July 12, 2007, he moved to Greece. He joined Panellinios in the Greek League.
He became a top scorer in Greece. During the 2007–08 season, he was the Greek League's top scorer. He averaged 21.5 points per game. In 2009, he joined Ferrara in Italy.
In September 2010, he went back to Greece. He signed with AEK Athens. He left that team in January 2011. Later that month, he signed with Mersin Buyuksehir in Turkey.
Playing in Asia
On July 15, 2011, Anthony Grundy moved to Asia. He was signed by the Petron Blaze Boosters in the PBA. He joined as a replacement player. He helped the Boosters win the 2011 PBA Governors Cup. They won against the Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters.
In 2012, he signed with Mahram Tehran in Iran. In 2013, he joined Hacettepe University in Turkey. He continued to train with teams like AON Palatianis in Greece.
