Antoine Brooks Jr. (born October 28, 1997) is an American professional football player. He plays as a safety for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the Canadian Football League (CFL). Brooks played college football at Maryland. The Pittsburgh Steelers picked him in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL draft.

Early Life and High School Football
Antoine Brooks grew up in Lanham, Maryland. He went to DuVal High School. There, he played as a starting defensive back and quarterback.
As a junior, he was named one of the best players in the area. He also made the All-State team as a defensive back. During his senior year, Brooks had a serious ankle and wrist injury. This happened while he was throwing a pass in a game.
Even with his injury, he was still a top player. He was named to the All-Metro and All-State teams again. He was also named the best offensive player in Prince George's County. Many colleges were interested in him before his injury. After his injury, some offers went away. But he still chose to play college football at Maryland.
College Career at Maryland
Brooks started his college career playing mostly on special teams. This means he played on plays like kickoffs and punts.
In his second year, he became a key player for the Terrapins. He was second on the team with 77 tackles. He also led all defensive backs in his conference with 9.5 tackles for loss. He had two interceptions and forced a fumble.
As a junior, Brooks continued to play well. He was the third-leading tackler for Maryland. He also had 9.5 tackles for loss and an interception. Coaches named him to the second-team All-Big Ten.
In his final year, Brooks played both safety and nickel linebacker. He led the team with 87 tackles. He was again named to the second-team All-Big Ten by the coaches.
Professional Football Career
Antoine Brooks was picked by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2020 NFL Draft. He was the 198th player chosen overall.
Pittsburgh Steelers
After being drafted, Brooks joined the Steelers. He was sometimes moved to the practice squad. This is a group of players who train with the team. He was called up to play in several games during the 2020 season. He officially joined the main roster in December.
In 2021, Brooks was injured. He was later released by the Steelers.
Los Angeles Rams
In September 2021, Brooks joined the Los Angeles Rams practice squad. He was later promoted to the active roster. Brooks and the Rams went on to win Super Bowl LVI. They defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in the championship game.
